Thomas Brian Jones, 57 of Tipton, Oklahoma and formerly of Roswell, New Mexico, passed away at his home Sunday, May 14, 2017.
Thomas was born in Roswell, New Mexico on April 28, 1960 to his parents, Raymond Edward Jones, Jr. and Wanda Irene (Wagner) Jones. He graduated from Roswell High School and soon after joined the United States Air Force. He was stationed in several places including Altus Air Force Base, Altus, Oklahoma where he was a crew chief E-5. Thomas also worked for the Civil Service at Altus Air Force Base as a crew chief with the KC135R detachment as a WG11. Thomas loved fishing, hunting from his front porch, motorcycle trips to visit family, tinkering on old motorcycles, tractors and various projects. He was a very humble and private person who was never too busy to help a friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Preceded in death by his father; Thomas is survived by his mother Wanda Irene Jones; his brother, Raymond Dale Jones; three sisters, Wanna Goddard; Sherri Charles; and Barbara Lewis; as well as multiple nieces and nephews and many friends.
Memorial services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home Chapel, 2609 S. Main, Roswell, NM.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to the Chaves County Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 193, Roswell, NM 88202, or to erica@walkforhopechavesco.com, or call (575) 637-9550 in honor of Thomas Brian Jones.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
