Thomas J. Elliott age 84, of Altus, Oklahoma died December 12, 1969 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was born July 21, 1885 in Denton, Texas. He married Teletha Alpha Hurst January 7, 1950. He worded as Altus Water Superintendent for 21 years. He was a member of City Council for 6 years, member of the Oddfellows, and Methodist Church.
Funeral services for Thomas J. Elliott are scheduled for Sunday, December 14, 1969 at Tims Chapel, Altus, officiated by Re, C. L. Abercrombie. Burial will follow in the Altus Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Thomas J. Elliott is survived by his wife Teletha of the home in Altus; one stepson Bill Hurst, Albuquerque, New Mexico; one stepdaughter, Mrs Morella Overfield, Edmond , Oklahoma; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
