Timothy Glen Ray passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2000 in Ponca City, Oklahoma in a car accident. He was well-liked and loved by many people. He touched a lot of peoples hearts. He will be missed dearly by all of us. He was born to Barbara Ray and James Pop in Altus, Oklahoma, He attended school in Altus and he was very active in football, baseball and basketball. He made his home in Ponca City, Oklahoma until his death. He is survived by his seven children; Jessica of Altus, Oklahoma; Kara, Janessa, and LaQuayla all of Mangum, Oklahoma; Tim Ray Jr. of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Trey and Destinee both o Ponca City, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his mother and step-father; Barbara and William Jordan of Lubbock, Texas; his father, James Pope and his wife, Peggy of Alabama; his brothers; John Ray
Altus and Joseph Taylor of Waynesburg, Pennsylvania; Ravin Pope Sr., James H Pope, Jr., Alvin D. Pope, all of Alabama; one sister, Kimberly Pope of Alabama, his grandmother, Julia Ray of
Altus; and Clyde Wilson, who was very active in his life, an d a host of aunts, uncles, nieces nephews and cousins and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joe Ray and Tom Lewis and his great-grandmother, Beatrice Lewis.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 24, 2000 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Broughton and Rev. Aulston Ridley officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
