Senior Airman Timothy J. Dotson, age 25, stationed, Altus Air Force Base, Altus, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at his home in Altus.
Senior Airman Timothy J. "Buck" Dotson, 25, died December 3, 2017 in Altus, OK.
Born on April 6, 1992 at Eglin Air Force Base, FL, he grew up on Tybee Island, GA. He attended St. James School and Benedictine Military School.
Senior Airman Timothy J. Dotson was an Air Force Veteran who entered the Service in April 2013. After graduating the Louis F. Garland Fire Academy at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas he was assigned to the 48th Civil Engineer Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom as a Fire Fighter. During his tenure at Lakenheath he deployed in support of operation INHERENT RESOLVE to Ahmed Al Jaber Air Base Kuwait as a Fire Protection Driver Operator. In December of 2015 Senior Airman Dotson was assigned to the 97th Civil Engineer Squadron at Altus Air Force Base, Oklahoma where he served as a Fire Fighter, Emergency Communications Dispatcher and a Driver Operator. His awards include the Air Force Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster of Meritorious Service, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Global war on Terrorism Service Medal.
He is survived by his mom, Jacqueline Brown-Bilyeu; father, CSM Timothy Scott Dotson; sisters, Brittany Julia Rushing, Roslyn Joe Brown, and Ruby Jon Brown; his grandmother, Gertrud Bilyeu; uncles, Retired LT Col Allan Leon Bilyeu & wife Courtney and Staff SGT James Allan Bilyeu & wife Tara; and an aunt, Christina Gertrud MacMillan & husband Kelly.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Islands Chapel.
A funeral service was be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 10, 2017, at St. Michael"s Catholic Church on Tybee Island. Interment will follow in the Greenwich Section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests remembrances to 22Kill, 13625 Neutron Rd., Dallas, TX 75244.
Transportation arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Crematory, Altus, Oklahoma.
