Obituary for Troyce Lavon Robertson
Troyce Lavon Robertson, 84, longtime Altus and Jackson County resident passed away Thursday January 30, 2020 at his home in Altus.

Troyce was born April 21, 1935 in Altus, Oklahoma to Johnnie Robertson and LueVena (Loftis) Robertson.

Troyce graduated from Altus High School in 1954. After graduation he worked with his family at Johnnie's Steakhouse on West Broadway. Troyce knew he needed to do more with his life so he entered United States Army where he proudly served his country. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army, in 1962. Troyce went to Chicago, Illinois and studied electronics at Devry Institute where he earned his degree.

On July 24, 1958 in Altus, Oklahoma Troyce married the love of his life, Shirley Moody and she preceded him in death on February 20, 2011.

Troyce worked for P& H Music owners: Jim Parrish, Sr. and Lester Hert for over 30 years. He was the master of electronics on jukeboxes, pool tables, shuffleboards, pin balls machines, and video games. After Parrish and Herr retired he worked for Jim Parrish Jr.

Troyce never knew the word retire you could find him and Troy Dale mowing yards, tinkering with anything that kept them busy. But the most important thing to Troyce was being with his family, he loved his kids and was so proud of his grandson Kyle.

Troyce was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior when he was 13 years old.

He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley, his parents, Johnnie and LueVena Robertson,
brother Jerry Robertson, and baby sister Frances Louise.

Troyce is survived by his daughter Theresa Jameson and husband Steve of Headrick, Oklahoma grandson Kyle Jameson, and wife Leslie and their children Destiny and Journey of Altus, Oklahoma, Son; Troy Dale Robertson and wife LaDonna, of Altus, Oklahoma and their children, Crystal Card, Jason Card, Ra'Chael Kelley and Chadd Card, as well as his great-grandchildren, Jay, Lilly, Dakota, Dixie, Alexis, Brooklynn, Landon, Amarra, Adyson, and Haven. He is also survived by a nephew, Gerald (Corky) Hubert, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends he truly loved.
