Obituary for Velva Jane Patrick
Velva Jane Patrick, age 80, died at Quartz Mountain Care Center. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Altus City Cemetery with Sonny Tims officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home. She was born July 17th, 1917 at Roxton, Texas to Thomas Newman and Laura (Alvis) Warden. She married Charles Patrick on May 11, 1941 at Mangum, OK. He died on November 26, 1977.

Velva was a housewife for most of her life. She spent much of her time as a volunteer for the Red Cross and other organizations.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, James; one sister and five brothers.

Survivors include a brother, Carl Ripley Warden of St. Paul, MN; several nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends.
