Obituary for Vera May Harvick
Vera May Harvick, age 77, died Friday at the home of her daughter in Edmond, OK.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday at the First Assembly of God Church in Altus with the Rev. Mark Allen officiating, with Rev. Richard Ventonis assisting. Burial will be at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Mrs. Harvick was born May 29th, 1914 in Caney, OK. She married Walter D. Harvick in Altus on August 9, 1933. They moved to Altus in 1949 and lived here until March 1991, when they moved to Edmond. She was a member of the Women's Guild and Women's Missionary Council at the First Assermbly of God Church of Altus. She participated with the local Senior Citizens Ceramic Club and attended Liberty Church in Edmond.
The family will be staying at 1809 Tyler and 1013 East Liveoak prior to returning to Edmond.
Survivors include: her husband, Walter Dee Harvick of Edmond, OK; two children, Miriam Mitchell and husband Gary of Edmond, OK and Carroll W. Harvick and wife, Marge of Avenal, CA; a brother, J.R. McPherson of Rosemond, CA; a sister, Roby Foster of Lake Havasu City, AZ; four grandchildren, Keith Harvick of Avenal, CA, Debra Bushey of Avenal, CA, Bryan and Scott Mitchell of Edmond, OK; five great-grandchildren and many other loving relatives.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; one son; two sisters; six brothers.
