Obituary for Verna Mayhan
Graveside services for Verna Mayhan , age 96, of Altus have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 20, 1998 at the Restlawn Cemetery, officiated by Sonny Tims. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mayhan was born July 7th, 1902, in Alva, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late Edgar W. and Delia (Reed) Duck. Verna passed away Thursday, November 19th, 1998 at the Quartz Mountain Care Center where she was a resident.

Verna was a longtime resident of Altus and Jackson County. She married Walter S. Marsh in August of 1958. Mr. Marsh preceded her in death. She married Luther Mayhan in 1967, he also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Mayhan is survived by seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Becky Duck of Altus, Oklahoma.

Verna was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one son, Rodney Marsh; a daughter, Wilma Roberts; and by four brothers and one sister.
