Obituary for Vicki Clanton
Vicki Jolene Clanton, 48, of Altus, passed away Friday, February 29, 2008, at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus.
Vicki was born August 20, 1959, in Garden City, Kansas, to George W. and Corrine Kay (Wince) Baxter. She graduated from high school in Garden City in 1977. During her teenage years, she worked for her parents as a cook and waitress in their restaurants in Garden City. Vicki married Allen Dean Clanton November 22, 1979, in Garden City and they later moved to Clinton, Oklahoma. They moved to Altus in 2000, where Dean was employed by Rick's Lawn Sprinkler's. He preceded Vicki in death November 26, 2003.
She is survived by her parents, George and Kay Baxter of Miami, Oklahoma; one son Bradley Allen Clanton of San Angelo, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Mischele Clanton of Altus; one brother Scott Baxter and wife Robin of Indianapolis, Indiana; one granddaughter, Shaylee Nicole Clanton of Altus; maternal grandfather, Harold Wince of Joplin, Missouri; one nephew, Krieghton Christopher Baxter of Pierre, South Dakota; one niece, Ashtyn Nicole Baxter of Indianapolis, and two step-nephews, Ryan Thomson and Brett Thomson, also of Indianapolis.
Funeral Services for Vicki Clanton will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 6, 2008 at Lowell-Tims Chapel with David Stewart officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
