Obituary for Vinita Ferris
Vinita Ferris, age 88 longtime Headrick resident passed away Tuesday, April 6, 1999 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. She was born January 20, 1911 near Headrick, Oklahoma to the late Thomas and Emma (Enzer) Waldroop.

On January 8, 1933 in Carnegie, Oklahoma Vinita and Denver Ferris wire united in marriage. They had celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary in January.

Vinita was a loving wife and sister and a true friend to many. One special hobby she truly injoyed was cooking, if it was a new recipe or old one it always tasted good. Vinita will be truly missed by her family and many friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 10, 1000 at 10:00 am in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with sonny Tims officiating. Burial will follow in the Navajo Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Denver Ferris of the home, one sister Winnie Lee Estes and husband Herman of Altus, Oklahoma, a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Emma Waldroop, several brothers an sisters.
