Viola Pitcock age 86, of Altus, died April 24, 1982, in Jackson County Memorial Hospital, Altus.
Viola was born February 10, 1896 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky to Fed and Amanda (Turner) Kidwell. She married Thomas G. Pitcock June 22, 1913. He preceded her in death June 1, 1956. Viola had been a resident of Jackson County for the past 4 years.
Funeral services for Viola Pitcock are scheduled for April 26, 1982, at 2 pm at Elm and Hudson Church of Christ, Altus, officiated by Bill Osborne. Burial will follow in the Martha Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
Viola is survived by five daughters, Ollie Pitcock, Altus, Oklahoma; Thelma Hett, Medford, Oregon; Myrtle Ruth Sutton, Grand Junction, Colorado; Edith Osborne, Smyer, Texas; Frankie Pitcock, Medford, Oregon; four sons, Murley Pitcock, Bridgeport, Texas; Hoover Pitcock, St. Louis, Missouri; Kenneth Pitcock, Shelby, Montana; Tom Pitcock, Jr. Sheridan, Arkansas; one sister, Lee Ann Snith, Salina, Tennessee; seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.
Viola was preceded in death by one son Morris Pitcock, in 1976; two daughters, Blanch Wright, 1971; Lucille Norris 1977.
