Graveside Services for Virgie Beavers, age 97, of Altus, Oklahoma are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13th 1994, at the Blair Cemetery. Lowell Tims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Beavers passed away August 10th, 1994 at a local nursing home. Mrs. Beavers was born February 25th, 1897 in Pottsboro, TX to John Andrew and Charles Etta McLeod (Allen). With her family she moved to Blair in 1907, and later moved to Altus in 1957. She had been a housewife and a member of the Blair Methodist Church.
Survivors include: one son, Willard Ray Beavers and wife Elizabeth of Waco, TX; two grandchildren, Ronnie Beavers of Altus and Roger Beavers of Norman, OK; five great-grandchildren, Terry Bristow, Micha, Zachary, Tyler and Cody Beavers.
She was preceded in death by: six brothers and sisters, May Reid, Mordant McLeod, Nellie Payne, Susie McLeod, Romeo McLeod and Katie Hullum; her parents.
