Obituary for Virgil Coursey
Mr. Virgil Coursey, age 79, of 1024 E. Liveoak died Thursday, April 9th, 1981, night at the Park Lane Nursing Home of an apparent heart attack.

Funeral services have been set for 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Lowell Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Funeral Home.

Born March 29th, 1902 at Blossom, Texas, he was married at Blossom on December 10, 1925 to the former Maggie Belle Bates who survives of the home. He was an accountant in Lawton for a number of years, moving to Altus in 1978.

Survivors in addition to his wife are: three sisters-in-law, Ruby Johnston, Beatrice Friend and Ruth Lynn, all of Altus; four brothers-in-law, Frank Bates of Altus, James Bates of Spokane, WA, Johnny Bates of Headrick, Dick Bates of Anardarko; a number of nieces and nephews.
