Obituary for Virginia Lea Vorron
Virginia (Edwards) Vorron, age 77 of Altus, Oklahoma and formerly of Albert-Oney, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in Altus.
Virginia was born in Los Angeles, California on March 20, 1943 to her parents Clyde E. Edwards and Frankie Marie “Muddie” (Wells) Edwards. She lived in California, Maine, England, and had resided in Altus, Oklahoma for several years. Virginia worked at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus, JC Penny’s in Altus, and worked for Sprint Communications until she retired. Virginia’s favorite things included; Mah-Jongg, trips to casinos, and watching days of our lives. Virginia loved her cats and they always held a special place in her heart. But most of all Virginia treasured any time spent with her family and her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Frankie “Muddie” Edwards; her daughter, Kimbra Sue; and her brother Kenneth “Dugan” Edwards; Virginia is survived by her four children, Kenton McKnight and his wife Amelia; Brent McKnight; Dale McKnight and his wife Jennifer; and Timberly “Timmie” Smith and her husband Marvin; thirteen grandchildren, Michael Smith and his wife Tiffani; Christian Smith; Kyle McKnight and his wife MacKenzie; Cassidy McKnight; Charles McKnight and his wife Becca; Timothy McKnight; Bobby McKnight; Anthony McKnight; Andrew McKnight; and Matthew McKnight; five great grandchildren, Sophia McKnight; Bryce Lee McKnight; Michael Lynn Smith; Slade Smith; and Marshall Smith; as well as many other family member and friends.
Graveside Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Albert Cemetery in Albert, Oklahoma.
