Graveside services for Virginia Lucille Easley Pilkington have been scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 1, 2002 at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Virginia Lucille Pilkington was born June 13, 1919 in Lamar County, Texas to Lee Francis and Barbie (Cockrum) Johnson. She passed away Wednesday, October 30th, 2002 at Grace Living Center in Altus, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Pilkington and her family moved to the Jackson County area in the late 1950's. She was a homemaker and worked as a waitress at many of our local cafes and restaurants. She had been a member of the Freewill Baptist Church for many years. She was a sweet, friendly lady who made all those around her feel good.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jack Easley on May 9, 2001; a daughter, Vivian Easley; two brothers and four grandchildren.
She is lovingly survived by her children, James Easley and wife Doreen of Houston, TX, Lawrence Easley and wife Judy of Altus, OK, Alta "Sue" Mantzke and her husband Bill of Headrick, Oklahoma, Lee Easley of Headrick, Oklahoma, Alta Jean Easley of Ada, OK, Billy Frank Easley and wife Connie of Fittstown, OK; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-greatgrandchildren.
