Vitle Lee Caughron, 80, long time resident of Altus died at her home. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00pm Tuesday at the Thomas Street Church of Christ officiated by Jim Eckman and Jack Cummins. Graveside rights will take place at 3:30pm at the Riveside Cemetery in Mangum under the arrangements of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
Born January 23,1911 at Mangum, she was the daughter of Ross and Etta Alderson. She was homemaker and member of the Thomas Street Church of Christ. She married Brewster Taylor who preceded her in death. Later she married Clifford Caughron and he preceded her in death in 1967.
Mrs Caughron is survived by her sisters Frankie Mae Henry; Sue McAnally; nephew, Bill Henry of Mangum, Oklahoma; niece; Tommie Osborne of Odessa, Texas; great nephews, Bobby Henry, Mark Perry, Phil Perry, Darrell Osborne; great nieces, Susan Bradley, Beth Ann Houchin, special friends, Karen, Robbie, Lori Bornholt, Flash and Virginia Gordoan, Jane and Edward Strup.
Mrs. Caughron was preceded in death by her mother and father; Husband Brewster Taylor, Elza Clifton Caughron; sister, Lorena Hughes, Edna Ballew.
