Obituary for Walter I Milton
Walter I. Milton, age 88 of Altus, Oklahoma passed away Monday, July 21, 1997 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was born June 21, 1909 at Ozark, Oklahoma to the late George and Catherine (Blair) Milton. Walter and Evelyn Ivey Milton were united in marriage October 21, 1928 at Altus, Oklahoma. Walter was a longtime member of Elm and Hudson Church of Christ. Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 1997 at 10:00am at the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Bill Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home. Memorials may be sent to the Elm & Hudson Church of Christ.

Survivors include Wife Evelyn Milton of the home; children; Joe Lynn and wife Ovena of Altus, Oklahoma; Ronald E. Milton and wife Libby of Dallas, Texas; brother Melvin Milton of Gainsville, Texas; sister Ruby Phillips of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren, Rhonda Hampton and her husband Adam of Nasville, Tennessee; Dana Hicks and her husband Shane of Nashville, Tennessee; Karla Haynes and her husband Gary of Mt Vernon Texas; Ruth Ann Beagle and her husband Dwight of Justin, Texas; Allen Milton of Dallas, Texas; great grandchildren; Jordan and Callie Haynes of Mt Vernon, Texas; Libby and Haven of Justin, Texas.

Preceded in death by parents, brothers; Leslie, David; ssters Fren Halve, Bessie Cox.
