Obituary for Warrenlene Morgan
Warrenlene Morgan, 63, of Altus, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at her home in Altus.
Warrenlene was born June 2, 1945, in Altus to the late Hence and Eddie Marie (Sterling) Fields. At a very early age, she accepted Christ and joined Macedonia Baptist Church where she was a devoted member until the Lord called her home. She attended and graduated from Lincoln High School and continued her education at Oklahoma University where she earned her degree. Warrenlene lived in Tulsa for several years and later returned with her family to Altus where she devoted twenty-seven years at the Employment Security Commission Office as a Claims Supervisor.
She married Tommy Morgan January 15, 1999, in Floydada, Texas and together they shared almost ten wonderful years.
She leaves to cherish her memories her beloved husband, Tommy Morgan of the home in Altus; her sons, Thomas Fields and wife Annie of Durant, Oklahoma, Michael Fields and wife Marion of San Diego, California, Charles Martin and wife Lillian of Oklahoma City and Kevin Martin of Tuscon, Arizona; her step-children; a sister, Alene Johnson of Evansville, Indiana; two brothers, Eddie Goodlow and wife Donna of Norfolk, Virginia and Austin Griggs of Altus; her grandchildren, Tori Fields, Lakeisha Camar, Temekia Smith, Aisha Cusic, Michael Fields, Jr., Lamycal Fields, Jerome Rice, Keviesha Martin, Matlene Martin, Jonathan Martin, and Artejai Martin; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Warrenlene was preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Haywood Goodlow, her uncles, Charles Sterling and Florence Sterling, her aunts, Bercey Sterling and Alyce Foster, and a very special cousin, Sandra Foster.
Funeral Services for Warrenlene Morgan will be held 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2008, at Lowell-Tims Chapel with Reverend Kenneth Broughton officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the directioon of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
