Tuesday at 10:00 am at the Lowell-Tims Chapel with officiated by Rev. Walter Adams and assisted by Rev. Don Johnson Interment will be in the Martha Cemetery.
Adams was born 6, 1906 in Ellis County, Texas. He moved to Dallas at an early age and lived there graduating from Oak Cliff Highschool. He married Jerry Rose of Altus, August 5, 1943, at Minneapolis, MN. He was a Veteran of WW-II, was a Life Member of the Disabeled American Veterans, member of W.B.C.C.I. Airstream trailer club from 1971-1985. He was a life long member of the Church of Christ and attended the 9th and Columbia Church of Christian College receiving his Master of Education degree from Midwestern University. He became band Director and Math Teacher at Winters in 1932 and later taught in Childress, Quannah, Electra, Paducah, and Frederick. He retired while Band Director at Copando Jr. High in Plainview, Texas in 1971.
Mr. Adams is survived by his wife, Jerry Adams of Plainview, Texas; daughter Mary Jo Fennell of San Angelo, Texas; brother, Chester A. Adams of Duncanville, Texas; sister Mr. B.W. Yearbrough of Dallas, Texas; grandson, Christopher Scott Fennell of San Angelo, Texas; three nephews in Dallas, Texas; one niece in Houston, Texas; son-in-law David Fennel of San
Angelo, Texas.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his mother and father.
