William Leonard "Bo" Mayo passed away Saturday, November 25, 1995. Services have been scheduled for 2;00PM Tuesday at the Hess Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Hess Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims funeral Home.
"Bo" was born February 7, 1935 at Hess, Oklahoma, the son of James Leonard and Elsie Katie (McGee) Mayo. He was a life long resident of Jackson County. He lived with his sister, Wanda Roberson for six years before moving to Altus House Nursing Home, seven years ago. Bo had attended the Hess Baptist Church and worked at the Tumbleweed Work Center. He was very involved with the Special Olympics until his health began to fail.
Survivors include his brother Lavern "Shorty" Mayo of Hess, Oklahoma; sister Wanda Roberson and R.D. "Red' pf Altus, Oklahoma; one nephew, James Mayo, of Knoxville, Tennessee; two nieces, Judy McCombs of Reno, Nevada; Wanda McKee of Reno, Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Leon Mayo and an infant brother.
