William Malvin Cotney age 78 of Martha Oklahoma, passed away in the Memorial Hospital February 11, 1964. He was born October 26, 1887 in Decater, Texas to Dow and Elizabeth (Warren) Sampler. He had been a resident of Jackson County since 1907.
Funeral services for William Malvin Cotney are scheduled for February 13, 1964 at 2:00pm in the First Baptist in Martha, Oklahoma officiated by Rev. Everett Smalts. Burial will follow in the Martha Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
William Malvin Cotney is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Paul Shives, Martha, Oklahoma; Mrs. O.L. McMinn, Stratford, Texas; Mrs. George Norris, Wichita, Kansas; five sons, Obert Cotney, El Monte, California; Douglas Cotney, Detroit, Michigan; Darrell Cotney, Stratford, Texas; Benton Cotney, Martha, Oklahoma; Chester Cotney, Martha, Oklahoma; sixteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren; two brothers, Major Sampler, Norman Sampler, San Angelo, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Adrian Wooldridge, Martha, Oklahoma; Mrs. Bob Hamilton, Martha, Oklahoma; Mrs Mettie Starkey, Altus, Oklahoma.
