Sadie Guthrie, age 68, long time resident of Altus, Oklahoma, died Monday, October 31st, 1988, at Southwestern Medical Center, Lawton, Oklahoma. Graveside services have been set for Wednesday, November 2, 1988 at 2:00 p.m. at the Francis Cemetery with Rev. Jan Ivan Oden officiating. Lowell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Guthrie was born July 23rd, 1920. She married Colonel Stillwell Guthrie September 21, 1945 at Pauls Valley, OK. He preceded her in death December 9, 1984.
Survivors include: five sons, William H. Guthrie of Washington, DC, Robert Lee Guthrie, John Carrol Guthrie, Rodney Glen Guthrie and Billy Wayne Guthrie, all of Altus; two daughters, Melba Joyce Donaldson and Sandra Kay Hawley of Altus, OK; six sisters, Winnie Petty of Albuquerque, NM, Linnie Whitson and Vera Roden of Borger, TX, Vadie Roden and Mildred McCughan of Norman, OK and Stella Toriquet of Stillwater, OK; eight grandchildren.
