Obituary for Wilma Maude Mackey
Wilma Maude Mackey was born May 3, 1911 at Nocono, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Tobe and Mittie (Simmons) Haralson. She died October 23, 2002 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital.
She married Pete Mackey November 12, 1949 at the First Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma. Wilma was a graduate of Altus High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Elks Ladies Group. She had been a hairdresser, worked at the Altus Floral Shop and the Blossom Shop. She worked at United Drug Store for nearly 20 years before retiring.
Survivors include her husband, Pete Mackey of the home in Altus, Oklahoma; one daughter, Cindy Ray and husband Billy of Altus, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Joelle Dickinson of Altus, Oklahoma and Jeff Ray of Norman, Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren, Damien Ray, William Ray and Gage Dickenson all of Altus, Oklahoma; one niece, Julie Brewer and husband Ted of Honolulu, Hawaii; one great-niece and one great-nephew, Scott and Kelly Brewer of Honolulu, Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Lucye Strange, Alberta Groseclose and Opal Haralson.
Services for Wilma Mackey will be held Friday, October 25, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lowell Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Sonny Tims officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
