Obituary for Yvonne Joan Schuster
Yvonne Joan (Dillard) Schuster was born, October 6, 1931 in Canute Oklahoma to Ed Russell and Nora Minnie McBride Dillard. After moving to Chickasha with her parents, she attended and graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic School. Yvonne met the love of her life, Kenneth Schuster and they married in August, 1968 in Perryton, Texas.
Yvonne worked for Southwestern Bell in Chickasha, Oklahoma and Liberal, Kansas. She retired from Southwestern Bell on October 5, 1996. She and Kenneth moved to the family farm in Russell, Oklahoma in May, 1988.
Yvonne was very active in the Mangum Hospital Auxiliary, the Greer County Museum, the Red Hatters and she was very active with the Liberal United Methodist Church. She was an excellent bowler and water skier. Yvonne also became a skilled bridge player. Yvonne was a voracious book reader as well.
Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Robin Ann Caldwell and husband Jerry, of Perry, Oklahoma. Her grandchildren, Chase Webb of Perry, and Cheyenne Webb of Enid, Oklahoma. Her sister Seba Carol Walker, of Altus. Robin’s sister, Pam Schomer, brother Mike Schuster and wife RoZanna, all of Mangum, Oklahoma. Nieces; Linda Clark, of Altus, Oklahoma, Diana Henson & Husband Todd, of Perryton, Texas, Kara Taylor and husband Keece, of Perryton, Texas, along with many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth Schuster, Brother Monty Dean Dillard.
Services will be held, 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Mangum First United Methodist Church, with Interment to follow at the Russell Cemetery, in Russell, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00p.m Friday, May 4, 2018 at Greer Funeral Home, in Mangum.
