Zelma Ruth Johnston was born April 21, 1917 in Jackson County, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late William Tom and Maggie (Blackwell) Russell. She died may 11, 2000 in Altus.

She Married George Johnston and he preceded her in death in 1979.

She was a longtime resident of Jackson County, a member of the Methodist Church, she was an Artist who dearly loved art and was crowned Ms. English Village in1985.

Graveside services are scheduled for 10 A.M. Saturday May 13, 2000 at The Restlawn Cemetery with Rev. Scott Spencer officiating.

Lowell Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
