Obituary for Clyde Lee Baker
Clyde Lee Baker Sr., a resident of Boydsville, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on January 13, 2022, at the age of 64.
Clyde was born to Lee Roy Baker and Anna Elizabeth (Maynard) Baker on April 14, 1957 in Georgetown, Texas. He grew up in Austin, Texas. At the age of twenty, Clyde relocated to Court Portlavaca, Texas. On June 11, 1976 in Mexico Clyde married Peggy Everels. Their union was blessed with four beloved children, Clyde Le, Jr., William, Trisha, and Katherine.
Professionally, Clyde was a truck driver, he primarily hauled gravel, dirt, and sand. He also had a knack for collecting things that others may have considered "junk". He was never one to allow something to go to waste and was an avid recycler. On a personal level, Clyde was a very spiritual person who was extremely passionate about anything western. He was fascinated with horses, wolves, and motorcycles. He also enjoyed fishing and sharing stories and adventures with those around him. Above all, Clyde was a loving and devoted father, brother and grandfather. Simply being "Grandpa" was his greatest accomplishment. His kind spirit and positive perspective will be missed by all who knew him.
Clyde was preceded in death by his father, Lee Roy Baker, Mother, Anna Elizabeth Baker, his wife, Peggy who passed in 2016; his brother, Andy Baker; and his sister, Cathy Baker.
Left to honor Clyde's memory are his four children: Clyde Baker Jr. and his wife, Laura; William Baker and wife, Erin; Trisha Denson and husband, Danny; and Katherine Baker; his grandchildren: Cheyenne Gotcher, Curtis Gotcher, Destiny Azevedo, Erica Craig, Alex Black, Timothy Kime, Garret Denson, and Jaron Denson; his great-grandchildren: Lillian, Luca, Lincoln, Allison, Makayla, Kolton, and Haisley; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
The family has entrusted services to the care of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home & Crematory in Altus, OK.
Private family services will be held at later date.
