Ronald John Lehrman went to his eternal home on November 19, 2022 at home in Mangum, Oklahoma, surrounded by his loving family. Ronnie was born January 3, 1947 in Granite, Oklahoma to John and Estelle Johnson Lehrman. Ronnie attended school in Granite, Oklahoma where he loved playing baseball and graduated in 1965. After graduation, he entered the U.S. Army, serving in Vietnam and was a POW during that war.
Ronnie married the love of his life, Diana Joyce Stover on August 10, 1967 and they were blessed with two daughters, Lori and Krista. Ronnie attended SWOSU and graduated with a bachelor's degree in industrial arts and a master’s degree in education. Ronnie was a longtime educator at the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite, Oklahoma and retired there after 4 decades of service.
In addition, Ronnie was a master carpenter and created beautiful kitchens and other woodworking projects throughout Southwest Oklahoma. He enjoyed golf, hunting, and gardening, producing vegetables and maintaining a perfectly landscaped yard throughout the years. Most important of all, Ronnie was a long time Sunday School teacher and he loved sharing the word of God with his students, family, friends, and community. Ronnie continued to study and share the gospel throughout his life. Ronnie was known for his dry humor and quick wit but could move from that to a very tender heart and passionate emotions. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents. John and Estelle Lehrman, his brother and sister in law, Larry and Clara Lehrman, his father in law and mother in law, Pete and Wanda Stover. Left to mourn him are his wife Diana of Mangum, OK, his daughters and their husbands, Lori and Matt Monroe of Altus, OK, Krista and Travis Reese of Hobart, OK, grandchildren: Christain Reese and wife Hope. Gabrielle Lara and husband Hunter, Kayla Jones and husband Braden, and Allie Monroe, great grandchildren: Manny Monroe, Peyton Jones, and Mallory Lara, his brother, Gary Lehrman, sister in law Gwen Bryant and husband Jerry, brother in law Ray Stover and wife Barbie, numerous nieces and nephews, other family members, and friends.
