Kim (Willeford) Burnam, age sixty-two, resident of Mangum, Oklahoma passed away on June 8, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kim was born on March 19, 1961, to E.L. “Cotton” Willeford and Wanda Sue (Houck) Willeford. She was born prematurely at only three pounds, since birth she was tenacious and a fighter. Kim was raised and educated in the Mangum Public Schools. In 1985 Kim married Garry Burnam although the marriage ended in divorce after eight years, they remained close friends. The Burnam family lived in numerous places, including Minnesota and Texas, but they always returned home to Mangum. They owned and operated Calico Patch in Mangum where they sold beautiful handmade wood items. Of all Kim’s accomplishments in her life, being a grandmother was her greatest. She relished every moment she spent with her grandchildren and son. In 2005 she survived a brain aneurysm in typically Kim fashion she bounced right back with the same sparkle and the same love of life. Kim was a believer in Jesus Christ, and she accepted him as her lord and savior. Kim was always the life of the party and could always be found laughing and could make any situation better with just her presence. She was an incredibly giving person who would always be willing to help the less fortunate and those who were in need. And sometimes even if you weren’t in need, she was there to give a present or a thoughtful gift. Kim will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and her memory will be forever cherished by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her father, E.L. Willeford; mother, Wanda Sue (Houck) Willeford; sister, Kaye Giddens Houghton; and the father of her son, Garry Burnam.
Left to honor her memory are her son, Garrett Burnam, and wife Eva of Willow, Oklahoma; Sisters, Donna “Giddens” Terry of Mangum, Oklahoma, Terry “Giddens” Hopper of Mangum, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Colter Garrett Burnam, Rebel Davis, and Tate Burnam of Willow; extended family members, Rob Williams, John Julian, Kristee Bonds, Angi Young, and Micah Hopper; as well as many friends that have become her family.
