Obituary for Lillie Mae Jackson
Lillie Mae Jackson, age 82 of Altus, passed away April 30, 2001 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. funeral services are set for Saturday at 2:00pm in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Willie Jackson and Elder Robert Green officiating. Visitation will start ----------and last till he day of the service.
Lillie was born January 1, 1919 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Mack McCoy and Annie hHrrison McCoy. She was united in marriage to Mel Jackson September 30, 1939 in Dento Co. Texas. They enjoyed many years together. Mel preceded her in death in 1989. Lillie was active at the Altus First Church of god in Christ where she served as a Sunday School teacher. She was also a tireless homemaker and gifted at sewing.
Lillie was preceded in death by her husband Mel Sr. her parents, five brothers and five sisters. She is survived by seven sons, Leroy Jackson and wife Laura and Henry Jackson, both of Altus, Bobby Jackson and wife Zelma of Midwest City, OK., Mel Jr. and wife Jean, James Jackson and wife Brenda, Eugene Jackson and wife robin, all of Amarillo, Lonnie Jackson of Mena, Arkansas; five daughters Marie Johnson and husband Joe of Fort Worth, Texas, Betty Jackson-Nubine of Altus, Maudie Chandler and husband John, Ozetta Smith and husband Lamont, all of Amarillo, Texas and Deloris Baker and husband Kermeit of Albequerque, N.M. She is also survived by 49 grandchildren and 56 great-grandchildren.
