KONKLER
Dalton Doyle Konkler, 73 of Fort Worth, Texas and formerly of Wellington, Texas passed away, Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the VA Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Dalton was born in Olustee, Oklahoma on January 1, 1943 to his parents Lewis Peter Konkler, Jr. and Elmer Rebecca (Smith) Konkler. He was raised in Eldorado, Oklahoma and served his country in the United States Army during Vietnam with tours in Germany and Japan. On September 24, 1992, Dalton married Rosemary (Francis) Watts Konkler in Wellington, Texas and lived in Wellington, Amarillo, Hollis, and Fort Worth. Dalton was good at fixing things. It started with bicycles then small engines and vehicles and he owned and operated Konkler"s Small Engine Repair for many years. He enjoyed playing dominoes and spending time with his family.
Preceded in death by his first wife Bonnie Konkler in 1990; his parents; one brother, Melton Konkler; and one stepson, Chris Watts. Dalton is survived by his wife Rosemary; five stepchildren; one brother, H.T. Konkler and wife Patricia; one sister, Dorthell Hurt; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his nephews Jeremy Pittman, Kris and Heath Konkler; as well as other family members and friends.
The family will greet friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday, April 1, 2016 at Harmon County Funeral Home in Hollis, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Harmon County Funeral Home Chapel in Hollis, Oklahoma with Pastor Don Altom officiating. Interment will follow at Dodson Cemetery in Dodson, Texas with Military Honors rendered by the United States Army.
