Nancy Cleo Holloman, age 92, of Mangum, passed away Friday afternoon, September 4, 2009, at Grace Living Center in Mangum
Mrs. Holloman was born on September 25, 1916, in the Wildcat Community, to Guy and Martha (Cole) Ellington. After graduating from Reed High School, she drove a school bus for several years and worked on the farm with her parents. On July 20, 1939, she and E.E. "Bud" Holloman eloped to Electra, Texas where they were married. He preceded her in death on April 3, 1994, after fifty-four wonderful years of marriage. After their marriage, they worked for a short time in the Electra area before returning to Greer County where they farmed together and Cleo worked at Bert Day"s Store and was a housewife. Cleo loved her family and being involved in their lives along with spending time with her friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Ruth Marie Morgan on December 24, 1996 and one sister, Oma Brawley, she is survived by two granddaughters, Traci Morgan and husband Michael Trzebiatowski of Claremore, Oklahoma and Jamie Lucas of Webster, Texas; one great granddaughter, Ainsley Cleo Trzebiatowski of Claremore, Oklahoma; two sisters, Laverne Joiner and husband Tom of Oklahoma City and Extelyne Lumpkin of Dimmitt, Texas; one son-in-law, Bill Morgan and wife Karen of Duke; a special niece, Vickie Hall and husband Danny of Duke and her children and grandchildren, Monica and Chris Claussen, Dantz and Summer Hall, Noah, Cole and Skye Claussen and Aspen and Celie Hall, all of Duke along with many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Cleo Holloman will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 6, 2009, at the Russell Baptist Church with Dr. Dean Goodfellow officiating. Interment will follow at the Roselawn Cemetery, in Mangum, under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
