Melvin Douglas Orr, 51, passed away Friday, January 6, 1995 at Elk City, Oklahoma. He was born July 2, 1943 at Vernon, Texas, the son of Jack and Margie Orr. He had been a resident of Altus since 1958, moving here from Quanah, Texas.
Melvin graduated from Altus High School in 1962. He was a member of the Thomas Street Church of Christ.
Melvin is survived by his parents, Jack and Margie Orr of Altus; one sister, Ruth Strickland of Lawton, Oklahoma; two nephews, Tod Spears of Oskaloosa, Iowa and Don Spears of Kansas City, Missouri; and by two great-nephews, Trevor Spears and Colin Spears.
