Obituary for Dale Banks Briscoe
Dale Banks Briscoe was born September 5th, 1923 at Hess, OK. He died January 14, 1992 at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. He married Wilma Harrison on June 29, 1944 at Altus, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army overseas during the Korean Conflict and World War II. He was a life-long resident of Jackson County. He was a former member of the Altus Lions Club.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He had served with the 45th Division, and 245th Tank Batallion during his time with the U.S. Army. He had been employed with the Skinner Motor Company and Altus Motor Ford for a short period of time. He had served as an Insurance Representative over 20 years until his retirement in 1975.
Services are scheduled for 11 A.M., Friday, January 17, 1992 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Vernon Tinsley officiating. Interment will be in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell Tims Funeral Home.
Survivors include: his wife, Wilma of the home in Altus, OK; three children, Brent Briscoe of Altus, OK, Derek Briscoe of Edmond, OK and Rodney Briscoe of Abilene, TX; a brother, Blake Briscoe; 10 grandchildren, Kris Briscoe, Mindy Briscoe, Brad Briscoe, Ferra Briscoe, Kevin Briscoe, Jeremy Briscoe, Paul Briscoe, Lisa Briscoe, Samantha Briscoe, Chance Briscoe.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother, Denton Briscoe.
