Obituary for Leta Nell Bailey
Leta Nell Bailey, age 85, passed away Monday, February 9, 2004 at English Village Manor. She was born January 15, 1919 to Farris and Ethel Lavania (Greer) Skinner. She married Elmo Bailey in Vinson, Oklahoma, April 17, 1938,
Nell was a member of the First Baptist Church since the age of 15. She was a Sunday School Teacher for many years and helped to establish the church library. She worked as the Secretary for First Baptist Church, and worked for Cablevision and Altus Supply.
She is survived by her daughter, Gaylon Holder of Altus, Oklahoma and son, James Bailey of Altus, Oklahoma; one granddaughter, Melinda Jane Ford of Yukon, Oklahoma; and one great-granddaughter, Sara Jane Ford of Yukon, Oklahoma; one aunt, Faye Yousey of Eldorado, Oklahoma and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Elmo and sister, Maxine Jones.
Services for Leta Nell Bailey are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at the First Baptist Church with rev. Jeff Moore officiating. Interment will follow at the Altus City Cemetery. Tributes can be made at www.lowell-tims.com
