James Ray Kuykendall was born December 30th, 1933 to Arthur C. and Lillie B. (Stapp) Kuykendall. He passed from this earth at 12:15 P.M. January 6th, 1967 due to an auto accident four miles north of Altus, Oklahoma. James left the area in 1953 and resided in Sunny Vale, California.

James was a Veteran of the Korean War. He served four years in the U. S. Navy. He was an Electrician by trade and a member of the Baptist Church. He is survived by six sons: James Ray Jr., Jerry Dean, Carroll Duayne, Mark David, Darrell Dee and Chip D. also two sisters, Mrs. Irene Cook and Lavern Cardwell. and his mother Lillie B. Kuykendall of Blair, Oklahoma, Three brothers: Charlie, Eddie and Dais (Corkey).

Services for James Ray Kuykendall are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Monday January 9th, 1967 at the First Baptist Church, Blair, Oklahoma with J. C. Crabbe and Delbert Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Blair Cemetery under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.
