Obituary for Nettie Pearl Sherman
Mrs. Nettie Sherman, age 76, long time resident of Altus and Jackson County, died Sunday evening at her residence, 310 E. Walnut.

Memorial services have been set for 2:00 P.M., Tuesday at Lowell Memorial Chapel officiated by the Reverend C. C. Gober and assisted by the Reverend Noel George. Burial will be in the Altus City Cemetery.

Born December 12, 1895 in Roanoke, Texas, she, the former Nettie Lee, was married in February 1912 to Mr. Ben Sherman. They came to Jackson County in 1925 and settled on a farm in the Friendship Community. The last number of years they were residents of Altus. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include: her husband of the home; four sons, Autry of Bakersfield, CA, Leon of Altus, L.B., of Hess and William of McAllen of Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Estelle Knox and Mrs. Ima Jean Burrow, both of Altus; one sister, Mrs. Mamie Cooper of Dallas, TX; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
