Mary Ola Robinson, age 80, a longtime resident of Hollis, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, February 15at Harmon Memorial Hospital in Hollis.
Mary was born in Beaver, Oklahoma on September 19, 1937 to her parents Olen and Mary (Henderson) Hurst. She grew up in Mangum and Russell and went to Hollis High School her junior and senior years and graduated Class of 1955. Just after her high school graduation she married the love of her life Jerry Robinson on June 19, 1955 at the First United Methodist Church in Hollis. Mary and Jerry enjoyed almost 60 years of marriage together. In 1981 Mary and Jerry opened the Robinson Agency in Hollis where they enjoyed working together for many years. Mary was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church in Hollis where she enjoyed being a part of the United Methodist Women (UMW). She enjoyed reading and crochet but most of all, Mary always treasured the time spent with her husband, children, and family.
Preceded in death by her parents; her husband Jerry in 2016; and her son Bart Robinson; Mary is survived by her daughter Deana Robinson of Hollis; four grandchildren, Lindsey Smith and husband Brent of Edmond; Colby Davisdon of Gould; Jessica Robinson of Altus; and Jeremy Robinson of Gould; her great granddaughter, Kyndall Smith of Edmond; daughter-in-law Janet Robinson; special friends, Linda Powers, Thel Cummins, Frances Moore, Herman and Verble Nesser; and numerous other family members and friends.
Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church in Hollis under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home, Hollis.
