Obituary for Veda Virginia Aldridge
VEDA ALDRIDGE
Veda Virginia Aldridge, longtime resident of Colonial Manor II in Hollis, Oklahoma, died this past Saturday afternoon, February 24, 2018 at the age of 73. She was born on February 1, 1945 in Carl, Oklahoma to John Calvin and Angie Lanora (Ellis) Aldridge. She graduated from Hollis High School in 1963. She spent her adult life working in home health care, senior care, and many varied jobs throughout southwest Oklahoma and California.
Veda enjoyed people and never met a stranger. She also had a lifelong love of animals. Nothing would light up her face more than talking about kittens or pups.
Veda was preceded in death by her parents, John Calvin and Angie Lanora Aldridge; her sisters, Florence Cochrane, Frances Rogers, and Leva Joy Scott; and nephews Richard Petty and Lynn Ray Pace.
She is survived by her sister, Arabella Pace; her nieces and nephews, Decie Blancett, Anita Faye Jones, Cleta Faye Rogers, Shirley Barringer, Franny Dooley, Johnny Pace, Donna Gaye Haller, Judy Powers, Ronnie Pace, Susy Schwall, Alan Pace, Ed Scott, David Scott, Neal Scott and Tim Scott; and many beloved great and great great nieces and nephews.
Memorial Donations may be made in memory of Veda Aldridge to the Independence Cemetery.
