Obituary for Linda Syvilla Krider
Linda Syvilla (Ross) Krider, age 78, a longtime resident of Duke, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at her home in Duke.
Linda was born Warsaw, Indiana on January 11, 1941 to her parents Charles Elmer Ross and Marcella Maude (Hyndman) Ross. Linda grew up in Larwill, Indiana where she graduated high school and on July 11, 1959, she married Stephen Jack Krider, Sr. at the Booneville Church and they enjoyed over 28 years of marriage together before Stephen's death in 2018. In 1981, she moved to Duke, Oklahoma and was a longtime resident of the Duke community. Linda worked in restaurants for many years as well as factory work until she retired. She was a longtime member of the Duke First Baptist Church and enjoyed quilting, making crochet dolls, playing bingo, growing plants, and taking care of her cats. But most of all, Linda loved her family and treasured all the time spent with them and she will be missed very much.
Preceded in death her parents, Charles and Marcella Ross; her sister, Dona Jean Kistler; her granddaughters, Natalie Sheckler; and Kaylee Braun; Linda is survived by three sons, Stephen Krider, Jr.; Kerry Krider; and Jeff Krider; two daughters, Lana Sheckler; and Pamela Krider; her brother, Gail Ross; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-four great grandchildren; as well numerous other family members and many friends.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the Duke First Baptist Church.
