Rudy P. Reyes, age 69 of Altus, Oklahoma, and formerly Hollis Oklahoma, passed away at his home Sunday, August 13, 2017.
Rudy was born on August 11, 1948, in Kenedy, Texas to his parents Nabor Reyes and Adelida (Palacios) Reyes. He grew up in Hollis, Oklahoma and on November 12, 1968, Rudy married Betty Alvarado in Hollis and they have enjoyed over 48 years of marriage together. Rudy and Betty settled in Altus in 1979. Rudy worked for Altus Ready -Mix for several years as a concrete truck driver he retired in 2010. He was a longtime member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Altus, Oklahoma. Rudy enjoyed remodeling homes and spending time with his family and friends was always the joy in Rudy’s life.
Preceded in death by his parents Nabor and Adelida Reyes; and his brother, Reynulfo Reyes who is buried in Plainview, Texas; Rudy is survived by his wife Betty Reyes; five children, Mary Alice Andrews and husband Jason Andrews of San Angelo, Texas; Rudy Reyes, Jr. of Lawton; Becky Taylor and husband George Taylor, II of Altus; Adam Reyes and wife Jenifer Reyes of Spring, Texas; and Mellisa Reyes of Altus. Three brothers, Raymond Reyes of Maysville, Oklahoma; Armando Reyes of Altus; Richard Reyes of Lawton; two sisters, Obelia Martinez; and Amelia Martinez both of Altus; six grandchildren, Matthew Ryan Revilla of Altus; Dillon Graham of Blair; Candace Dawn Reyes of Spring, Texas; Sidney Skylar Reyes of Spring, Texas; Tiffany Nicole Taylor of Altus; and George Walter Taylor, III of Altus; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other family members and many friends.
The family will greet friends at visitation from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm, Friday, August 18, 2017 at Lowell-Tims Funeral Home in Altus.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 19, 2017, at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Altus with Pastor Gregory Hawn and Pastor Richard Reyes officiating. Services will follow at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
